About the Author -- Elizabeth Flanders. M.A.

After college, Elizabeth traveled internationally teaching English as a
foreign language, and after returning, she earned a master’s degree in early childhood and special education. Her professional life spanned 40 years in public and private settings, as a teacher, administrator and creator of new programs—often serving children and families made vulnerable to poverty. She wrote this fantasy book for young people in the middle grades, like her grandson, who want to better understand their environment and are on a journey to discover their gifts to offer the world.

She dedicates this book to her grandson.
